Under Lock and Key

Under Lock And Key by You, Me, Us

Under Lock and Key MP3 (right click to "save as")

There's nothing so titillating as knowing that someone journals. My mind immediately starts to thrum excitedly about the prospect of secrets being kept somewhere that I could eventually read. Of course, breaking into someone's journal is an absolute no-no so I guess we'll just continue to fake vulnerability and accessibility with our nearest and dearest while writing behind their backs in secret. Or we could all open up and journal to each other in a therapeutic circle? Does that sound great? This episode is all about one of my favorite topics: journalling! [20:29 mins]

Don't Stop Believing

Don't Stop Believing by You, Me, Us
It's that time in our lives where a lot of us are seeking. We need jobs, we need friends, we need relationships, we need purpose, and we need happiness. How you seek out these things might differ from mine but it's always interesting to hear about other people's perspectives and journeys. This episode takes us through a conversation about experiencing meditation and mindfulness, living in the moment, and maybe touches on the relationship of pain to growth. [28:16 mins]

No Longer in Service

No Longer In Service by You, Me, Us
It's a love-hate relationship with phones isn't it? We're connected to anything and anyone should we need them, but we're also connected to them should they need us. Or should they have frivolous requests or seven minutes to shoot the breeze. On this episode we explore why the phone should be a communication device, but not necessarily a talking device. The article we reference is Gizmodo's "10 reasons to avoid talking on the phone." [24:07 min]

Single By Choice

Single By Choice MP3 (right click to "save as")

Think it's slim pickings out there in the dating world? You don't know the half of it. Sometimes we like to go "sarging," meaning go out and find a young nice man or woman to be rejected/repulsed by. This often leads to gag stories and next day "did you see that person?!" stories. In this episode we explore trying to meet people at clubs and bars. It ain't easy out there being a (non)pimp. Oh To Be Young Again

Oh To Be Young Again by You, Me, Us

A few months ago, I talked to my cousin about her upcoming college decision in "Into the Wild." She recently visited the West Coast and I accompanied her to Berkeley for a campus visit. I felt quite parental escorting her through university sponsored activites. More importantly, I wanted to know what it's like hanging out with us, people nearly twice her age. Then we close with a little ditty about prom. [22:27 min]

Almost Famous

Having just returned home after attending a red carpet event for Glee, we had to take a moment out to recap our experience. I don't often get to hobnob with celebrities but I hope it's the beginning of a trend. If you don't watch Glee, well, who cares. Listen anyway. [27:49 min]

She's All That

At the beginning of the new year, we present you with a conversation about using your (feminine) wiles. Some might confuse it with flirting, persuasion, or even coercion, but it's nothing of the sort. It's just about knowing what you want and getting what you deserve. We also attempt to find out if emotion has any place in this space. [17:04 min]
